When Chad Cress and his team from the real estate development company DJM took on the outside areas of the Runway neighbourhood in Playa Vista they had a clear vision: to turn a congested concrete jungle into a place where people want to spend time.
"We want this to be kind of the backyard, the living room of Playa Vista." – Chad Cress
Case study: Creating "The Good City" in Stockholm
Malmskillnadsgatan is a
650-metre-long street in the centre of Stockholm in Sweden. The previously long, dark corridor devoid of any attractions has now been transformed into a bustling and inviting meeting place. The Swedish real estate company Vasakronan led the transformation to create what they call "The Good City".
In our previous newsletter, we started a series where you can follow the 10% of our profit that we donate to sustainable initiatives. This is so you can see how it helps to make the world a better place, and hopefully be inspired to take part in this voluntary scheme.
One of the initiatives we support is
Chime. Chime's work is aimed at getting people in the poorest areas of Uganda out of illiteracy and multidimensional poverty. Their goal is to create entrepreneurs, provide jobs and income for people, and contribute to development in villages. How? They lend out pigs as microloans.
New year, new opportunities! Let’s make 2022 even more colourful than the last one. We have over 200 RAL colours for powder coating to choose from. Here’s just a few of them.
