The world's most environmentally friendly furniture
factory takes shape, the meeting places of the future and working outdoors
Energy-plus building emerges: an update from the construction site
The foundations, which use low-carbon concrete, have now been laid. The solid timber walls have been lifted into position. The first wings of the factory – Vestre Color Factory and Vestre Wood Factory – have been erected in record time. Glulam beams have been lifted into position. Things are happening fast and sustainably at the construction site in Magnor, Norway.
Note Design Studio: on the meeting places of the future and a new picnic system
Award-winning Swedish design studio Note has designed Vestre’s new picnic system PLINTH. This video explains the inspiration behind the design, how the outdoor space is utilised and how the meeting places of the future should be designed.
More and more people are spending part of their working day outdoors, whether it is at a café, a local meeting place or in an outdoor space next to the office. Replacing the
same walls with new surroundings and meeting people (at a safe distance) has a beneficial effect on our mental health. Provision should be made to enable people to do just that.
Vestre offers flexible solutions for workshops, meetings and more secluded zones. All the solutions have been manufactured to last, using durable materials. They also come with alifetime guarantee against rust and a 15-year guarantee on their surface coating and woodwork.
“Let’s Celebrate”
May is the month of the Norwegian Constitution Day. A celebration of the virtues of democracy. Freedom of expression. Public right of access. Participation and togetherness. Values we keep close to
heart at Vestre. Today, we applaud everyone striving for democracy and democratic design, for everyone to enjoy. Everyone.
