News from Vestre
How landscape architects can reduce their climate footprint, a guide to choose the right anchoring solution and how you can integrate the UNs Sustainable Development Goals into everyday business

Do you want delivery in this year’s budget?

When you order Vestre furniture in October, it will be delivered well before Christmas☺️ With local materials and all production in Scandinavia, we offer a delivery time of 4-6 weeks. And the look? Choose freely from our flexible modules and solutions, not to mention 200 different RAL colors for powder coating.

Landscape architecture can be a big part of the climate solution

We are the first furniture manufacturer to integrate our products into the Pathfinder app. A tool that helps landscape architects reduce carbon footprints and increase sequestration in their projects.

“As a profession whose everyday medium includes carbon-sequestering trees, plants, and ecosystems, there are so many ways that landscape architecture can provide solutions to the climate crisis,” says Pamela Conrad, initiator behind Pathfinder.

Anchoring: How to choose the right solution for your project

We often get asked about different anchoring methods and what solutions are most suitable. The answer is that it depends entirely on the intended area of use and the ground conditions. As these vary between projects, Vestre offers five different standardized anchoring solutions. Each of these options has advantages, limitations, and requirements which you must consider in your assessment.

Redesigning based on feedback
ACCEPTOR is our smart modular waste-sorting system that can easily be adapted for an increased number of sorting options. The different openings come in optional colors to encourage and facilitate waste sorting, and the receptacles are easily emptied by opening the door and removing the bin bag.

We have now redesigned the smallest unit ACCEPTOR 110. The design has been optimized based on customer feedback and is now more in line with the larger 160 version. The system is top-loading for easy access and is available with both rectangular and round openings and with an inner metal receptacle for glass. ACCEPTOR 110 is available in hot-dip galvanized steel alone which ages beautifully with a matte grey surface, or powder-coated in over 200 standard colors. The waste-sorting system is equally well-suited to both indoor and outdoor use.

Vestre enters an
exciting new phase

Jan Christian Vestre has led Vestre through a period of rapid growth and pioneering projects ever since he took over as CEO in 2012. Today, Jan Christian is starting a new role as a minister and more specifically as Norway’s new Minister of Trade and Industry, and this will inevitably involve some changes for Vestre. But change is nothing new for Vestre and, through several generational changes since 1947, we have continued to steer our ship according to our core values: design, quality, sustainability and social responsibility. We will continue to do this as we face exciting new times with, amongst other things, our new factory – The Plus, a ground-breaking Design Lab and new markets.

The whole of Team Vestre would like to thank Jan Christian Vestre for his inspiring and visionary leadership over the past ten years. We share his faith that each and every one of us can change the world. A little. Now our Captain is leaving this ship, to motivate and lead many more people along the right path. Godspeed!
