With thousands of daily visitors, high demands were placed on the museum's seating to be both extremely durable and robust, but at the same time comfortable and blend into the museum's interior. It is often a difficult balancing act where the design and colors should add value, but without taking over the visual experience. Together with talented designers Andreas Engesvik and Jonas Stokke, an entire new furniture series has been developed for the museum, with materials we have never used before.

Today, the doors to the new Edvard Munch Museum by the waterfront in Bjørvika in Oslo finally opened. The museum has the world’s largest collection of art by Munch and will be a global destination for experiencing his art and life.
The new museum is a very prestigious project for Oslo and an inviting meeting place characterized by openness. The vision was to expand the idea of what a museum can be and offer the visitors completely new experiences and perspectives.
